Ner Le'Elef Programs
English Speaking Programs

Ner Le’elef has two English-speaking programs running simultaneously. Each is a two-year course that focuses on knowledge, personal development, skill development, and real-life interactions. The carefully structured learning cycle meets for 6 ½ hours each week, outside of regular seder time. Participants selected to join Ner Le’elef receive a monthly stipend during the course. These programs, which were designed to build Jewish leaders who will inspire other Jews, consist of a core curriculum of Dah Ma SheTashiv, Hashkafa, Mussar, Chumash, and Halacha. The classes are given by our staff of world renowned Rabbis, including Rabbi Reuven Leuchter, the program’s spiritual head, Rabbi Leff, Rabbi Orlowek, Rabbi Berkowitz, and many more.
In addition, practical training courses are offered including: a public speaking forum, programming and management courses, computers and technology, communication development, as well as an intensive counseling training program with the leading psychologists and counselors in the country. Students can focus on specialized tracks in outreach, education or Practical Rabbinics.
Ner Le’elef’s popular women’s program runs parallel to the men’s program, although is less time demanding. It is focused on offering a careful balance of both inspiration and knowledge.
These programs have produced graduates initiating new projects and ventures around the globe. The program enlists avreichim of exceptional caliber, with strong yeshiva backgrounds who are dedicated to doing outreach, and also have excellent leadership potential and interpersonal skills. The program imposes a rigorous curriculum, preparing students for all areas of Jewish outreach work, including; working within existing outreach organizations, interfacing with communities, and creating and developing new programs and opportunities.
